Ameer is kicked that the audience can see him again on the big screen in another film. He has just completed work on a political thriller, titled Naarkaali. The film is being directed by VZ Durai, who is known for helming movies including Mugavari, Thotti Jaya and Iruttu.
The latest on the project is that post-production work is on now, and the makers are looking at a March release.
A source says, "Chandini, who played the female lead in 555, is paired opposite Ameer in Naarkaali. Anandraj, Raj Kapoor, Iman Annachi, Marimuthu, Subramania Shiva, Saravana Shakthi, Arjunan, Kovai Babu, George Vijay and Saleema, among others, form the rest of the cast."
Music is being composed by Vidyasagar. "Late SP Balasubrahmanyam had sung a song, Nenjamundu Nermaiundu, for the film. It's believed to be the last song he recorded," the source says, adding, "Though it's a political thriller, romance plays an integral role in the film. The team had just completed shooting and is quite content with the way the film has shaped up. They are planning to release the movie in March."
