Ameer gets in trouble over his statement on Rajinikanth

Director Ameer got into trouble for making a statement about Rajinikanth's acting. The video is now doing rounds on social media, Ameer's statement reads,"In 2007, the state government award for Best Actor was given to Rajinikanth for his performance in 'Sivaji: The Boss'. Ask your conscience. Can we call him the Best Actor? He is the Best Entertainer and there are no second thoughts about it. He is a superstar. But, was he the Best Actor that year?"

This statement made by Ameer has now landed him in trouble and the superstar actor's fans are enough raging against the director on social media.

Rajinikanth was awarded the best actor by the Tamil Nadu state government in 2007 for his film 'Sivaji'. It was one of the best in his career. On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his film 'Jailer', which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film's cast includes Rajinikanth, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi babu, Mohanlal and Tiger Sheroff in important roles.

After 'Jailer', Rajinikanth is said to shoot for his cameo role in 'Laal Salaam' which is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
