Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for his upcoming film ‘Amaran,’ which is backed by Kamal Haasan’s production house. The movie, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, features Sai Pallavi in the lead role. It is a biographical action war film featuring the life of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan. Now, the actor took a moment to remember Mukund on his 10th death anniversary.

On April 25, Sivakarthikeyan took to his Twitter account and shared a new still from the film, in which he is giving a solemn salute to the late Major Mukund. He wrote, “Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it; it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it," remembering the great #MajorMukundVaradarajan on his 10th death anniversary #Amaran.”

Many reacted to the post with love and respect, while one Twitter user wrote, “He will be remembered till the wind stays #MajorMukundVaradarajan. Patriotism is the feeling of love, devotion, and a sense of attachment to a country. ❤️We love you, Siva..”


‘Amaran’ is Sivakarthikeyan’s 21st project and was shot in several locations, including Kashmir, Chennai, Pondicherry, and Puducherry. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film centers around the heroic sacrifice of Major Mukund Varadarajan, serving with the 44 Rashtriya Rifles in their fight against terrorism.
