' is facing trouble after the TN government announces new pandemic restrictions. The Tamil Nadu government has taken an important decision and announced a few lockdown restrictions as the Omicron cases have crossed 100 in the state. Theaters are allowed to operate with 50% of occupancy till January 10th in the new restriction, and this has become a threat for Pongal releases as the same is expected to be continued again after January 10th.

Ajith's 'Valimai' is slated to hit the big screen on January 13th, and the new restriction might affect the film's box office. Also, we have to wait to see whether the makers stick to their decision of releasing the film during the pandemic time as they have already postponed the movie several times in the past.
