Ajith's 'Thala 56' title is 'Vedhalam'

The title of Ajith's upcoming movie, which was tentatively named 'Thala 56' by his fans and the media, is announced as 'Vedhalam'. The first look poster of the film was also released along with the title yesterday at midnight. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film has music by Anirudh and has Shruti Haasan playing the female lead. The title 'Vedhalam' means ghost and the term is probably used to mention the quality of the character that Ajith plays in the movie.
Produced by AM Rathnam, Santhanam plays a crucial role in the film. While Lakshmi Menon plays Ajith's sister in the film, Vidyu Raman of Neethane En Ponvasantham fame who was also a part of Ajith-Siva's Veeram will be playing Lakshmi Menon's neighbour and friend in this film.
