2025 has proved to be a year of comebacks for the Tamil film industry. After ups and downs over the last year, the top stars delivered one box office banger and satisfied their fans. Films across genres, from commercial to emotional, family, and action, hit theatres. 2025 is being hailed as the year of box office comebacks for the following stars.

Ajith worked with director Adhik Ravichandran for the movie, and 'Good Bad Ugly' was released in theatres in April this year. It is the star’s second outing in 2025 after 'Vidaamuyarchi' released in February and turned out to be a box office disaster. Sasikumar has also been delivering critically acclaimed movies since the past two years, but he was dodging action at the box office. But he hit the jackpot with 'Tourist Family', released in theatres in April 2025. Directing debutant Abishan Jeevinth had woven an emotional tale to cater to the audiences of all age groups, and the film had an extended run in theatres. Sasikumar's surprise hit was also his box office comeback, and the film even starred Simran, Yogi Babu, Mithun Jai Shankar, Kamalesh, and Yogalakshmi in significant roles.
