South star
Ajith Kumar, who ruled the industry and his heart for several years, has taken a break from the world of glamour. He has always been known for his passion for adventure sports, and currently, that is the area he is interested in exploring more. The 54-year-old star recently packed up and shifted from Chennai to Dubai in an attempt to follow his love for motorsports. He has moved to Dubai and is enjoying this new shift from a life with an entourage to a life of adventure.
Ajith Kumar expresses his love for motorsports
The man known to carve his own path said he came to Dubai to escape the noise, and of course, he is primarily there “for motorsports since most of the major circuits are based here. It’s helping me. I’m having to do everything by myself, and I’m loving it,” the actor shared with The Hollywood Reporter India.
Ajith Kumar on life without an entourage
Being one of the highly popular stars of the country, Ajith had a whole entourage of his that would take care of his every requirement. Now that he has taken a break from that life, he laughs, “If you had met me 20 years ago, you’d have probably hated me.”
“It’s not that I was spoiled, but I probably had too many people around me. It makes life difficult,” he said before adding how the entire concept of having too many people around leads to chaos. “The more people you have around you, the more things you have to deal with. I felt like I was wasting a lot of time trying to sort out the day-to-day squabbles between them,” he said.
In his personal opinion, he likes to keep things simple; however, he believes that if having an entourage helps ease the process for some people, then it is not harming anyone. He said, “It’s fine if that setup helps people save time and work efficiently, but personally, I prefer keeping things simple.”
For the ‘Good Bad Ugly’ actor, being self-sufficient and independent is basic, and he learnt the same at a very young age. “I come from a very middle-class family. My parents were wonderful and way ahead of their time. We were taught to do things on our own — I learned cooking at the age of seven or eight,” he recalled.
