The much-awaited Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster movie ‘Kaithi’ has gone on floors with the title ‘
Bholaa
’ starring
Bollywood
actor Ajay Devgn. In the film,
Ajay Devgn reprises the role played by actor Karthi.
According to various reports, the film will be directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who is Devgn’s cousin and the cinematography is by Aseem Bajaj. Earlier, the actor was supposed to start filming for a different movie, however, it has been put on hold. And Devgn decided to advance the shoot of Bholaa to make use of his dates.
In 2020, after a lot of speculations about him working in the film, the actor confirmed it by sharing the update on Twitter. "Yes, I'm doing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi," he tweeted
Incidentally, Bholaa will mark the 10th South film remake of Ajay Devgn. The film will be produced by Ajay Devgn films and Co-produced by Dream Warrior pictures. The Tamil film 'Kaithi', directed by
Lokesh Kanagaraj, is a thriller which revolves around an ex-convict on the quest to meet his daughter after leaving prison but is interrupted due to a well-orchestrated drug raid.
While the star has projects like Raid 2 and Singham 3 in his line up, he has already wrapped up the shootings of 'Maidaan', 'Thank God', 'Runway 34', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and a web series 'Rudra: The Age Of Darkness'.
