The Tamannaah Bhatia and Karthi starrer ‘Paiyaa’ is gearing up for a theatrical re-release tomorrow (April 11) as the film will complete 14 glorious years on the day. The actress took to her Instagram account to thank her fans and netizens for the unwavering love they have been pouring on the movie for the last 14 years.

Tamannaah shared a poster of the film in which the actress and Karthi are looking too young yet adorable together. She wrote, “It feels extremely special to see that even after 14 years, the love for #Paiyaa still remains strong. I feel so good to see the affection & love the movie is still receiving after all this time.” Last year, when her dance number ‘Kaavaalaa’ from Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ went viral, fans were busy drawing parallels from her younger role in ‘Paiyaa’. They were wondering about witnessing the physical transformation she has gone through over the years.
She continued, “I’m filled with excitement and can’t wait for all of you to experience the magic of Paiyaa on the big screen once more. Absolutely thankful to #N. Linguswamy sir, @karthi_offl , @itsyuvan and the entire cast & crew for the amazing memories. #Paiyaa re-releasing in theaters on 11th April, 2024❤.” Karthi and Tamannaah were celebrated for their on-screen chemistry. Directed by N. Linguswamy, the movie featured music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. All tracks, ‘Thuli Thuli’, ‘Poongatre Poongatre’, ‘Adada Mazhaida’, ‘Suthuthe Suthuthe Bhoomi’, and ‘En Kadhal Solla’ were highly celebrated after its release.
In 2011, the well-accepted Tamil jodi Karthi and Tamannaah collaborated again in another hit, ‘Siruthai’. This movie is an official remake of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Vikramarkudu’. Tamannaah completed a successful 19 years in the industry on March 4, 2024.
On the work front, Tamannaah is gearing up for the release of ‘Aranmanai 4’ directed by Sundar C. She will be seen in ‘Odela 2’ by Ashok Teja. Actor Karthi was last seen in Raju Murugan's directorial, ‘Japan’.
