After Rajini Murugan, here is MGR Pandiyan!

Ameer, who had launched his directorial 'Santhanadevan' with Arya and his brother Sathya, will be seen playing the lead in a film titled 'MGR Pandiyan'. Directed by Adham Bava, the movie is a political satire set in Theni.
“Ameer plays a die-hard MGR fan in this film, which is why we chose this title. Chandini, who made her debut in Bharath’s 'Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu' under the screen name Mrithika, will be his pair.Anandraj, Ganja Karuppu, Imman Annachi and Ponvannan are playing crucial supporting characters. Vidyagasar is composing the music for this film, the highlight of which will be comedy and romance,” says the director.
The team has completed shooting four of the six schedules. They are now on a break because Ameer, who is also acting in 'Vada Chennai', will shoot for the film and also complete a schedule of 'Santhanadevan'. Once he returns, the team will be shooting the remaining portions in Theni and Chennai.
