After much delay, Sibi Sathyaraj's 'Ranga' to hit the screens on May 13

Sibi Sathyaraj's 'Ranga' has been in the making for a long time. The film, directed by

, and also starring Nikhila Vimal as the female lead, was announced a few years ago. While the shooting got wrapped up, and the post-production work, too, was going on in full swing, the film, which was supposed to release before the pandemic, got delayed. And now, after a long wait, the production themselves announced that the film would be released on May 13.

Sharing a special poster from this film, the makers said, "After a long wait @Sibi_Sathyaraj's #Ranga to hit the screens On May 13th (sic)." Sibi, too, shared the post saying,"Happy to announce that my film #Ranga will release on May 13th in Theatres worldwide!Need all your love and support dear friends (sic)."


In an earlier interview with us, the producer of the film, Vijay K Celliah said, "he first half of the film is a family drama, while the second half is an action thriller. The film has a social message, which is very relevant for today."

Ranga is said to be an action thriller, which was largely shot in Chennai and in Kashmir. The film was shot in extreme weather conditions in Kashmir, but the team was all praise for the entire cast and crew on being supportive throughout the shoot.
