After Mollywood, Sanam Shetty reveals the casting couch trouble in Kollywood!

The Justice Hema Committee submitted the reports and made them public over the issues faced by women in the Malayalam industry. After almost a decade, the inquiry was started. Following the issues in Mollywood, actress Sanam Shetty now opened up about the problems of casting couch in the Tamil film industry.


The actress spoke to the Tamil media organizations outside the Chennai Police Commissioner office recently, and she said that she was there to seek permission to conduct a rally to condemn the crime against women following the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case.

Sanam Shetty noted that after the Hema committee report explained the sexual exploitation in the Malayalam film industry, she claimed that even the Tamil film industry has a casting couch and said that she experienced it as well. When questioned about why she did not open up earlier, the actress said that she was angry and could only protect herself by raising a voice against the cruelty. She added that it's not just women; even men face this problem, and she added that she never wanted to take opportunities that required adjustments.
