Nadigar Sangam distributes rice and veggies to its members during the lockdown

As the

lockdown

continues in many parts of the country in an effort to curb the spread of the virus, many people are out of work. Several artistes are also feeling the pinch as the film industry, too, has come to a grinding halt again since the start of the ongoing lockdown in the state. And this mainly includes many small-time actors. However, like organisations and groups who feed the needy and distribute provisions during the lockdown, the Nadigar Sangam has now come forward to support its members.

The association has stepped in to help its members by distributing provision to its members. The distribution was carried out by its committee member

. The association distributed rice and vegetables to its members. He was also accompanied for the distribution drive by actress Kovai Sarala and actor Thadi Balaji. The photographs of the distribution drive are doing the rounds on social media and it is said to have benefited over 300 members of Nadigar Sangam, who are out of work due to the restrictions to keep in check the virus spread.
