, died of cardiac arrest while campaigning in his hometown Ramanathapuram this afternoon. According to reports he was rushed to the hospital after he complained of severe chest pain, but couldn’t be saved. He was 46 years old.

Rithesh played a negative role in LKG, which had RJ Balaji and Priya Anand in the lead roles. Earlier, he had acted in films like Kaanal Neer, Nayagan and Pen Singam. He was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka in 1973 and later, in 1976, his family migrated to Rameshwaram. He debuted in films with Chinni Jayanth directorial
