Rajinikanth's upcoming 'Annaatthe' directed by
Siva had huge line up of star cast. While writer and actor Vela Ramamoorthy joined the star studded cast recently before the lockdown, now the latest is that actor Arjai, who is known for his roles in films like Paayum Puli, Theri, Sandakozhi 2 and Devi 2 among others, has joined the team.
The young actor himself announced the same sharing a picture of himself with Rajinikanth which confirms the association of the actor with the crew. 'Annaatthe' also stars Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena, Kushbhu, Prakashraj, Sathish, Soori, Goerge Maryan and many others and has music by D Imman.
Confirming his role in the film, Arjai said, "The two things that have fascinated me since my childhood in my birth place Palani is Lord Murugan and Rudraksham. Just like how Palani is synonymous with Lord Murugan, Rudraksham is synonymous with Thalaivar Rajinikanth. I have been admired him from a far distance ever since I came to Chennai for my dreams in cinema. Lord Murugan has given me the opportunity to see him up, touch him and admire from close quarter with Annaatthe."

The movie is said to be a rural-based family entertainer. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and it is said that the production house is eyeing a festival release. While it was initially planned for a Diwali release and then pushed for a Pongal release due to the lockdown, now it has been pushed even further.
