Popular comedian Vivek passed away a few days ago after suffering a heart attack. Known for his environmental activism, Vivek had launched the ‘Green Kalam’ project, a massive tree planting drive, in 2011 and wanted to plant 1 crore saplings. Vivek’s enthusiasm in planting trees seems to have inspired many to take up the cause following his demise.
While the fans have already vowed to take forward the initiative, actress
Aathmika has also vowed to play her part in fulfilling Vivek's dream of one crore saplings.
Sharing pictures of herself planting a sapling, Aathmika wrote in Tamil, which translates to, "Today I have planted some saplings in my house in memory of actor Mr. Vivek. I have decided to do this work wherever possible. Together let's fulfill his majestic dream of planting one crore saplings, that he has left behind."
