‘Aan Devathai’ trailer: Samuthirakani is back with yet another social-drama

Samuthirakani and director Thamira of ‘Rettai Suzhi’ fame are coming together for ‘Aan Devathai’, which seems to be another social drama. The theatrical trailer was released by 10 distinguished Kollywood personalities on Twitter.
Going by the trailer, ‘Aan Devathai’ gives us a wave of Deja Vu and we wonder if it has anything to do with Samuthirakani’s previous films, especially his ‘Appa’.As the title suggests, ‘Aan Devathai’ is about a doting father played by Samuthirakani and talks about the day-to-day struggle of a couple to make ends meet and the sacrifices that follow. The trailer suggests that the film is an emotional drama.
Produced by Sigaram Cinemas, the film also stars Kali Venkat, Ramya Pandian, Radha Ravi and Suja in supporting roles. ‘Aan Devathai’ has music by Mohamaad Ghibran and is slated to release later this year.
On the other hand, Samuthirakani will be seen next in the much-awaited ‘Kaala’ along with superstar Rajinikanth. Notably, Samuthirakani plays an important role in the Pa Ranjith film. After many years, he is teaming up with Sasikumar for ‘Nadodigal 2’, a sequel to the blockbuster film of the same name that is being directed by Samuthirakani himself.
