Rameez Raja, who was seen in Darling II, plays the lead in Vidhi Madhi, which was earlier titled as Ultaa. The film is directed by
Vijay Balaji, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss. The film is time-based thriller, where the audience will find events from the first half presented in a topsy-turvy manner in the second half. That is why we had titled the film Ultaa, but due to tax reasons, we changed it to Vidhi Madhi, as the hero uses his brains to overcome fate, elaborates Rameez, who is paired opposite
Janani Iyer in the film.
His character is that of an unambitious, unemployed young man whom his father considers a disgrace. But there comes a time when he has to save people, and how he wins them over with his cleverness is what the plot is all about, he says.
Daniel Balaji plays the villain a don, while Karunakarans character, the actor says, is similar to that of Vadivelu in Winner. He will be seen as a guy who thinks of himself as a don, and keeps getting into problems, he explains.
