A racy action thriller for Simha now

The first look of Simha’s next,

, is out. The actor looks intense in the poster, with a weapon in hand and getting drenched in rain. Ramanan Purushothama, who’s directing the action thriller, says, “Every film has an important moment or a junction that turns things around for it. What we have depicted in the first-look poster is one such moment for our film — Simha’s character is at an important junction. When audiences watch the film, they will be able to connect with this first-look poster.”

He says that nearly 80 per cent of the shoot has been completed. “Most of the film has been shot at nights, in parts of Vagamon and Chennai. We are almost at the fag end of our shoot and will wrap up soon,” he says.

While Kashmira Pardeshi is playing the female lead, Rajesh Murugesan and Gopi Amarnath have been roped in to handle music and cinematography, respectively. “It is a big-budget film. I’d also like to mention that this is more of a musical action-thriller. Rajesh’s music is a big boost for us. The screenplay has been treated differently, too. There are very few dialogues, especially in the second half. It will be more of a visual treat,” informs Ramanan.
