A police complaint lodged against 'Thangalaan' director Pa Ranjith deets inside

Pa Ranjith is one of the best-known directors in Tamil cinema, and he is next working on 'Thangalaan' featuring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. Now, a police complaint has been filed against director Pa Ranjith.

Of late, the murder of Deepak Raja has caused a stir in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, and it has also raised a casteism issue in the southern district. Recently, a social media page associated with Pa Ranjith shared a controversial statement on Deepak Raja's murder, which stirred up the debate. Following the social media post, a complaint has been lodged against director Pa Ranjith. According to Malaimalar, it is said in the police complaint that Pa Ranjith tried to incite caste conflict in the southern districts.

Pa Ranjith is currently working on the periodic drama 'Thangalaan' featuring Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, and Daniel Caltrogine in the main roles. The post-production work for the film is happening firmly, and GV Prakash Kumar is keen on working on the film's background score. The release date of 'Thangalaan' is yet to be announced by the makers, and the film is expected to hit the big screens in June or July.
