We’d reported that
Kannan is teaming up with
Santhanam for an action-comedy, and the actor had even learnt
Silambam
for his role. Now, the latest on the film is that a portion of the story will be set in the 80s, and the cast dressed up in costumes to bring out the vibe.
Kannan tells us, “It’s an important portion and everyone from the cast — Santhanam,
Tara Alisha Berry,
Swathi Muppala
, Anand Raj and
Motta Rajendran
— will be seen in the 80s look. They’ve worn bell-bottoms, kept kiruda and have channelled the hippie vibe for the sequences. We’ve also put up a huge set in Hyderabad for the same.”
Meanwhile, the director reveals that the shoot of the film has been completed. “There’s just one song left to be shot. Post-production work is on now in full swing, and the film’s come out as a thorough family entertainer. We are looking to release it in February,” he adds.
