While the tension over AR Rahman's Chennai concert mishap is lowering, another news against the music composer came in a shock to the fans on September 28. A new complaint against the music composer is now making rounds on social media and reportedly, an association of surgeons from Chennai have registered a complaint against the Oscar Award winning composer at the Chennai police commissioner office. The reason for the complaint is that AR Rahman after receiving a sum amount of Rs 25 lakh in order to conduct a concert show in 2018 never performed the show and is not willing to return the money.
The music director's manager, Senthil Velan has reportedly clarified that the news is not true and that a complaint has been registered to tarnish his image. However, it is still unclear if the music composer had planned to perform at the concert or not.
According to the statement that is doing rounds on social media given by the organisation said that the music composer was asked to perform at a concert that was conducted in 2018 by ASICON 2018. It is said that the music composer had agreed to perform one one day among the three days' event. The statement read that AR Rahman had received Rs 25 lakh as an advance and had agreed to perform at the event and reportedly the agreement also said that there will be no refund if the event was cancelled.
But later ASICON allegedly cancelled the event stating that the price for AR Rahman's concert was higher and asked the music composer to return the money. Senthil Velan said that the organisers later reached out to them asking to return the cheque of same amount. Now, the new update regarding the issue is that, the oganisers who had invited the music composers have registered a case against the music director.
On the work front, AR Rahman is now composing music for Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam'. He has also signed up for his next film with Mani Ratnam for 'KH 234' that stars Kamal Haasan, Jayam Ravi and Trisha in lead roles.
