A green birthday for Harish Kalyan

Actor Harish Kalyan celebrated his

birthday

, today, in a socially responsible manner. The actor, who turns 29, had

tree planting

activities to mark his birthday. "I derive plenty of pleasure and pride doing this. I am sure my future birthdays will see these activities happening in a bigger way," said the actor after planting tree samplings in a city school.

On the acting front, Harish is busy with four films in hand. While he plays one of the leads in director Chimbu Deven's Kasada Tabara, which is almost ready for release, he is currently shooting for the astrology-based comedy Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale, which marks the directorial debut of Sanjay Bharathi.

Meanwhile, two other films of his are in pre-production. The first one that will go on floors is Dharala Prabhu, which is the remake of the hit Bollywood comedy Vicky Donor. Actor

will be seen in a crucial role in this film. And Harish will also play the lead in director Sasi's (of Pichaikkaran fame) new film. The director is currently scripting this project. "We are planning to go on floors in September," the director had told us earlier.
