His debut film, Oru Naal Kanavu, is about living life like a dream. Everyone can relate to this film. We have dealt about the day-to-day happenings in life. While many films tend to show both the positive and negative things, I have shown only the positive side of a human being.
I want everyone to feel connected when they watch the film, says Vijaysankar. The film has newbies Ramakrishnan, Amala and Soundaraj (who was seen in Jigarthanda) in the lead. We have also touched upon friendship and the relationship between a husband and wife. The film is set in Nagercoil, and we also shot in places like Kanyakumari, Kodaikanal, Hyderabad and one small portion in Chennai, he says.
The director, who hails from a village near Vellore, says that his love for Tamil literature is what triggered his interest in cinema. I read a lot and love Tamil literature. I used to watch a lot of stage dramas in my village. Slowly, I developed interest in cinema.
