A film that explores the different facets of love

Kollywood has churned out several films in the past that have explored the emotions associated with love. But the makers of Maayabimbum say that their movie will talk about the pain that comes with love.
“In Kollywood, so many filmmakers have explored in depth the concept of romance, like Alaigal Oyivathillai, Kadhal and Mynaa. Debutant director Surendar joins the list as his Maayabimbum will talk about realistic love, and the reality of love.True love is beyond caste, religion and status. Likewise, it can also encourage a person to go to any length to prove how true his/her love is. It can give the person strength and courage to fight for his/her love. That’s what the film will convey,” a source says.
The film, which stars Akash Harirudran, Janaki, Rajesh Bala and Arunkumar in lead, has been shot in Cuddalore, Chidalbaram, Tanjore and Pudhukottai.
The source adds, “Apart from writing and directing the film, Surendar has also produced the film. While Edwin Sakay has handled the cinematography, Nandha has composed the music.”
