Debutant director
Sathish Karna is hopeful that his fantasy entertainer, Time Illa, will be liked by the audience. Starring
Manu Parthepan (who is also backing the film) and
Monica Chinnakotla in the lead, the film has Sketch fame Abishek, too, in a crucial role.
According to Sathish, the film is about a non-believer who faces the wrath of supernatural power. He says, “The film’s hero is an IT employee; he is a huge fan of Kamal Haasan, and is also a proud atheist.
One day, he makes fun of a temple and the beliefs associated with it. Later, an astral voice appears and says that he will die in a month’s time. How he lives his life the next 30 days forms the crux of the story.”
Karthikeyan Venugopal is the cinematographer for the project, which has music by LG Bala. Raghu Sethuraman is the editor for the film, which is expected to release by the end of this year.
