69th National Film Festival: 'Rocketry the Nambi Effect' and 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' get awards at the National Film Festival 2023

The 69th National Film Festival is being held in Delhi today, and the Tamil films 'Rocketry the Nambi Effect' and 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' are taking home two important awards. Madhavan's directorial debut, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', won the award for Best Feature Film, and 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', helmed by Manikandan, won the award for Best Tamil Film.


Apart from these two, Shreya Goshal won Best Playback Singer for 'Iravin Nizhal'. This time, 'RRR' won the maximum awards, leaving the other language films to receive very minimal awards at the National Film Festival 2023.

Donned a full black suit, Madhavan received the award for Best Feature Film—Rocketry from President Draupadi Murmu. 'Rocketry' was directed, produced, and acted by Madhavan. The movie is a biography of the scientist Nambi Narayanan. The film was released in theatres on July 1, 2022.

Directed by Manikandan, 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' was released on February 11, 2022, and the movie starred Nallandi and Vijay Sethupathi in important roles. The movie also won a special mention at the 69th National Film Festival.
