67th Parle Filmfare Awards South 2022: Pasupathi and Urvashi win Best Supporting Actor awards for 'Sarpatta Parambarai' and 'Soorarai Pottru'

The 67th Parle Filmfare Awards South 2022 happened in Bangalore, and the talents from movies released in 2020 and 2021 got awarded for their excellent performances. Pasupathi and Urvashi won Best Supporting Actor awards for 'Sarpatta Parambarai' and 'Soorarai Pottru'. Pasupathi played the supporting character of Rangan Vaathiyar in Pa Ranjith's 'Sarpatta Parambarai' starring Arya in the lead role. His role received a great response, and his sequences from the film surfaced on social media as memes. The popular role has grabbed the Best Supporting Actor Mala for Pasupathi at the 67th Filmfare Awards, and the actor feels happy in receiving the black lady. "I feel happy, and I am next part of couple movies in Telugu" says Pasupathi while interacting with ETimes in an exclusive chat after bagging the Best Supporting Actor Male awards.

On the other hand, Urvashi, who impressed everyone as an emotional mother in Suriya starrer 'Soorarai Pottru' has grabbed the Best Supporting Actor Female, and director Sudha Kongara received the award as the veteran actress was absent at the event.

Several cinema stars remembered the late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar as they arrived in Bangalore for the 67th Filmfare Awards South since they can't accept the loss of the talented actor, who left an empty place in the Kannada cinema industry. The Filmfare association has also governed the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar by presenting an honorary award.
