Anurag Kashyap has been raving about the Sasikumar-starrer for what it is. In fact, in an interview sometime back, Kashyap said it was ‘Subramaniapuram’ that inspired him to make ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. On its 10th anniversary, Kashyap had nice things to say about ‘Subramaniapuram’.
In a series of tweets, Anurag praised Sasikumar for giving us a raw-gritty film like ‘Subramaniapuram’. He wrote, “@SasikumarDir it’s been ten years since you made the classic that inspired me and now you are an Actor .. gimme more.”
Sharing a poster of ‘Subramaniapuram’ he wrote, “It’s ten years of the amazing film that inspired me to GOW.”
Replying to Anurag Kashyap, Sasikumar wrote, “10 Years of Subramaniapuram wishes from my favorite director n friend @anuragkashyap72 thank u sir, soon il start my direction.”
Interestingly, Anurag Kashyap will be making his Tamil debut as a psychotic villain in the upcoming thriller ‘Imaikka Nodigal’.
