Makers unveil Thalapathy Vijay's action-packed promo for 'The GOAT' ahead of release

Thalapathy Vijay’s much-anticipated film, 'The Greatest Of All Time' (also known as 'The GOAT'), finally hit the screens today on September 5, 2024, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. Ahead of the release of the film the makers dropped a special promo packed with high-octane action sequences, giving a glimpse of what’s to come in this thrilling movie.

In the film, Vijay takes on a challenging dual role, playing both a father and his son. The film has an impressive cast that includes notable actors like Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, among others.

One of the standout features of 'The GOAT' is the use of advanced technology. Director Venkat Prabhu used de-ageing technology to show a younger version of Vijay. Additionally, the makers used AI to recreate the late actor Captain Vijayakanth in a cameo role, paying tribute to the veteran star.

The movie revolves around Gandhi, a former key figure in an anti-terrorist squad who has distanced himself from the organization. However, due to events from the past and a new enemy emerging Gandhi is forced to return and confront his former colleagues.

'The GOAT' has already created a strong buzz in Kerala, where it has crossed Rs 3.26 crore in pre-sales from 2,162 shows, with over 2 lakh tickets sold. The film’s occupancy rate stands at an impressive 34.63%, reflecting the high anticipation for this Vijay starrer.

In Andhra Pradesh, fans celebrated the film’s release in true Thalapathy Vijay fashion, lighting crackers outside theatres to mark the grand occasion.
