Meeting the media at the 'Brother' audio launch, last Saturday, Jayam Ravi rubbished the rumours and mentioned that it is not right to tarnish anyone's name when it comes to personal lives and asked the media to refrain from promoting the dating rumours. However, netizens blamed Kenishaa for Jayam Ravi's divorce. Now, the singer speaking to DT next revealed that she only has limited contact with the actor and met him first earlier this year and then he reached out to her only in June.
Kenishaa also mentioned that Jayam Ravi only spoke to her regarding their professional ideas and said that he got in touch with her only because he sought professional help as he was mentally and emotionally bruised and battered from his marriage. Kenishaa also revealed that Jayam Ravi only came to meet her after he had already sent the divorce notice by mutual consent to his wife Aarti and he did not want to publicize it to the media or anyone in Chennai.
The singer also took to Instagram and wrote, " A humble request and an appeal I make to all of who have taken the liberty to make other people’s issue your own. Firstly, and humbly I say this to you - stay out of it, coz it’s not your home’s issue but someone else’s home, and you’re not allowed an opinion in this matter. Secondly, leave me out of it, I have work to do and I don’t advocate for uncanny banter. Lastly, be kind to everyone. It’s the only necessity in the world right now.”
