'Vettaiyan' box office day 13: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan's film nears Rs 140 crore mark

The investigative thriller 'Vettaiyan', featuring the legendary Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, continues running in the theatres. As of its 13th day on the big screens, the film has reportedly earned over Rs 1.75 crore, bringing its total collection to approximately Rs 138.30 crore.

As per trade analyst Sacnilk, after a strong opening week, where it grossed Rs 122.15 crore, the film's earnings have settled into single digits in the following days. The breakdown of its box office performance includes Rs 2.6 crore on Day 9 (second Friday), Rs 4.5 crore on Day 10, and Rs 5.35 crore on Day 11. Following that, it made Rs 1.95 crore on Day 12 and an estimated Rs 1.75 crore on Day 13.

Vettaiyan Movie Review

On October 22, 2024, 'Vettaiyan' had an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 13.87%. The occupancy for the day was as follows: morning shows at 13.32%, afternoon shows at 13.89%, evening shows at 14.40%, while night shows saw no attendance. In addition, the film recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 11.75% and a Hindi occupancy of just 4.78%.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, 'Vettaiyan' revolves around an investigative plot, finding the truths about a drug cartel. A government teacher encounters a drug trade and informs the police. This information leads the investigation further to know about the hidden truths about the crime world.
