Simbu starrer ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ was released in theatres on September 15 and the film had a great start. The film’s Tamil version was released on September 15, but the Telugu version titled ‘Life of Muthu’ was released last day, September 17. The film had a stronghold with its collection on Friday as the weekend was starting and now it has officially stepped into the weekend and the film is still proving to be a blockbuster.
According to reports, the film made a box office collection of Rs 7 crore in Tamil Nadu on Saturday and Rs 4.5 crore with its Telugu version, making it Rs 11.5 crore in total on September 17.
The film on the whole in three days has now made a gross earning of Rs 30 + crore.

Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film focuses on the life of a 21-year-old boy Muthu who is a migrant labour in Mumbai. After fleeing from his hometown in Tamil Nadu to overcome poverty and hunger, Muthu works in Mumbai and does odd jobs that are filled with danger. The story revolves around him and it moves forward with him becoming the don. The film features Simbu, Siddhi Idnani, Radhika Sarathkumar and
Neeraj Madhav in lead roles. The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman.
With ‘Life of
Muthu’ now released, the film’s chance to earn more at the box office on Sunday is a possibility. It is speculated that the film will make an earning of more than Rs 50 crore in its first week of release.
