'Star' box office collection day 5: Kavin's film achieves breakeven mark in Tamil Nadu

Directed by Elan, 'Star' featuring Kavin in the main role was released in theaters on May 10, and the film received a tremendous start at the box office. Elan's directorial turned out to be an entertaining one, and the inspiring film has been pulling in a large audience to the theaters. According to the trade report, 'Star' has reportedly achieved the breakeven mark in Tamil Nadu, and the film has been heading substantially in the home state. As per Cinetrak, 'Star' grossed around Rs 1.5 crore on day 5, and the overall collection of the film stands at around Rs 18.5 crore.

In Tamil Nadu, 'Star' has successfully reached Rs 15 crore in 5 days, and the film has surpassed the breakeven mark in the home state within a week of its theatrical release. By achieving the breakeven mark in just a few days, Kavin has proved that he is a bankable actor. 'Star' is set to overtake Kavin's last release 'Dada' box office collection (Rs 20 crore) in the upcoming days to become the actor's highest-grossing film, and it's an improvement from the actor to hype the audience more for his next release.

Priety Mukundhan and Aaditi Pohankhar played the female leads, and the film also has Lal and Geetha Kailasam in crucial roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music, and his songs and background score have added significant strength to the film.
