The movie’s box office performance has seen fluctuations, with a strong first week collection of Rs 52.95 crore, mainly from Tamil Nadu, followed by a mixed second weekend. Occupancy rates in Tamil Nadu hovered around 17.65% on Day 12, with cities like Chennai and Madurai showing relatively higher audience turnout. Despite some decline in weekday collections, the film continues to draw attention for its engaging plot, high production values, and powerful performances.
About the film'Retro' is the story of Paarivel "Paari" Kannan played by Suriya, an orphan raised by a gangster, who embarks on a dangerous journey to uncover his true origins and fulfill a local prophecy.
