'Indian 2' box office collection day 8: Kamal Haasan starrer heads towards the 150-crore mark

Kamal Haasan starrer 'Indian 2' was released in theatres on July 12, and the much-awaited film failed to satisfy fans. 'Indian 2' has successfully completed its first week of theatrical run. As it entered the second week, it failed to retain its screens as the commercial drama was replaced by other films in several locations. As per the box office report from Sacnilk, 'Indian 2' has grossed around Rs 3 crore on the first day of its second week in India, while the worldwide collection of the film is estimated to be around Rs 5 crore. The mega-budget drama has failed to add praiseworthy numbers as it continues to receive average reviews from the audience.

'Indian 2' earned around Rs 138 crore in its first week of theatrical run, and the film earned another Rs 5 crore on day 8 taking its overall collection of the film close to Rs 143 crore. In Tamil Nadu, 'Indian 2' has successfully overtaken the 50 crore mark despite the struggle, and the response to the film in other regions looks poor. The high-budget drama is expected to see a peak at the box office during the second week, and the film might surpass the 150-crore mark by today.

Directed by Shankar, 'Indian 2' features Kamal Haasan in the lead role with Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, and Gulshan Grover among others in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music, and the film was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
