'Indian 2' box office collection day 6: Kamal Haasan's film sees a peak

Kamal Haasan starrer 'Indian 2' was released in theatres on July 12, and the film had a pan-Indian release. However, the highly-anticipated film failed to meet expectations and continued to get average to below average reviews. After a solid weekend, 'Indian 2' saw a major drop in the box office numbers on Monday and Tuesday. However, the commercial film managed to peak slightly at the box office on Wednesday with the Muharram holiday. According to Sacnilk, 'Indian 2' has reportedly grossed Rs 5.5 crore in India on day 6, and the number is narrowly higher than the previous two-day box office collections of the film. The overall box office collection of 'Indian 2' is estimated to be over Rs 130 crore in 6 days, and the upcoming days are going to be the major one in deciding the film's verdict.

Indian 2 Movie Review

Directed by Shankar, 'Indian 2' is a sequel to the director's 1996 blockbuster 'Indian', while Kamal Haasan played the lead role making his on-screen comeback as Senapathy. Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, and Gulshan Grover played important roles, and the film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Shankar disappointed fans through his outdated screenplay, but it's Ravi Varman's visuals that turned out as the only happy part of the film for the audiences.

'Indian 2' has already started losing screens in several locations, while R Parthiban's 'Teenz' has replaced Shankar's directorial on multiple screens across Tamil Nadu.
