'Captain Miller' box office collection day 6: Dhanush's film sees a dip on a working day

'Captain Miller' featuring Dhanush in the lead role has hit the big screens this Pongal and the film made a tremendous start. The highly anticipated film is receiving better reviews from critics and audiences. With the weekend and Pongal holidays, 'Captain Miller' looked super strong for the first five days, and the film finally faced its first working day after the opening day on Wednesday (Jan 17).So, the periodic drama fell flat on its sixth day, as it reportedly added less than Rs 5 crore on day 6.
'Captain Miller' has reportedly grossed over Rs 55 crore worldwide at the end of day 6, and the film is set to reach the profitable mark soon. In Tamil Nadu, 'Captain Miller' inching close to Rs 40 crore and the film is set to reach the 50-crore mark during the second weekend. 'Captain Miller' will be closing its first week, and day 7 is also expected to be an average one for the film. However, 'Captain Miller' will be retaining most of the screens for the second week as there are no big releases in Tamil this week.

Directed by Arun Matheswaran, Dhanush essays the role of a warrior in 'Captain Miller' set in the pre-Independence period. Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, and Nivedhithaa Sathish delivered excellent performances, while the film has music scored by GV Prakash Kumar.
