Yogida Movie Synopsis: A straight-shooting cop locks horns with a politically connected don in North Chennai.

Yogida Movie Review: Sai Dhanshika walks into every frame of Yogida like she's auditioning for a franchise that nobody greenlit. She commits fully to her action sequences and carries inspector Yogi with a physicality that the film never knows how to harness. The Kabali DNA is unmistakable: punch dialogues, slow-motion entrances, style-first swagger. The problem is that style needs a story to dress up, and Yogida arrives practically naked.

The plot, if you can call it that, runs in loops. Yogi clashes with local don Jawahar (Kabir Duhan Singh) and his minister brother (Sayaji Shinde). She stands her ground. Jawahar retaliates through violence or sleaze. She bounces back. Repeat until the runtime gives out. There's no escalation that feels earned, no subplot worth following, no scene that builds on the one before it. Events just happen adjacent to each other.

The film wants to champion women's empowerment but chooses the laziest possible route: parading sexual abuse as motivation fuel. When Yogi, a cop who's survived multiple attempts on her life, casually accepts drugged tea at the minister's house, you stop blaming the character and start blaming the writer. A subsequent court scene where a judge openly deletes phone evidence is meant to show systemic rot but just showcases how little research went into the screenplay.

Credit where it's due: Dhanshika looks cool, throws hands convincingly, and sells the attitude without breaking a sweat. She did her own stunts, and it shows. Kabir Duhan Singh plays Jawahar with all the menace of a man yelling at a parking attendant. He's cartoonishly vile in every scene, which robs the conflict of any real tension. If the villain registers as a nuisance rather than a threat, the hero's victories mean nothing.

Runs on vibes and attitude alone, which works for a trailer but not for two hours.
