Tik Tik Tik Synopsis: An asteroid poses a threat to Chennai and its surrounding places and will kill the lives of four crore people if it hits. A five-member team sent by the Defence Space Division is the only hope.

Tik Tik Tik Review: The DSD team which has Mahendran (Jayaprakash) at its helm find that an asteroid will hit earth in seven days. Lives of four crore people in and around Chennai are at stake. The only way to destroy the asteroid would be with a heavy missile.

But seeing as how there’s less time, there’s only one way to obtain the missile, through illegal means. The team goes ahead with this secret mission with only the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defence Minister in on it. The biggest challenge now is to take it from space, which will only be possible by expert thieves.

An escape artist Vasu (Jayam Ravi) and his friends Venkat (Ramesh Thilak) and Appu (Arjunan) are roped in. Joining them are DSD members Swathi (Nivetha Pethuraj) and Raguram (Vincent Asokan). This motley crew set out to space for the mission, but just when everything is going well, Vasu gets a threat from an unknown person. He is asked to hand over the missile to the unknown person if he needs his son Ravi to be safe. But will the five-member team overcome all odds, get the missile and save the country?

Tik Tik Tik has been tipped as a first-of-its-kind space film of the country, offering a new experience to the South Indian audience. Though there are shots where the CG could’ve been definitely done better, the crew has done a decent job considering the budget and time. The screenplay however is quite predictable, with the challenges these five face and how they overcome it not convincing at all in places. The lack of a strong antagonist too dilutes the tension. However, overall, the film is a good attempt and watchable for those who love watching something new in South Indian cinema.
