Synopsis: Shakti (Arjun) earns a commission running into crores for illegally bringing into the country money belonging to a gangster (Sriram Vedam). His lifetime dream of earning a huge amount of money done, Shakti must now keep his wits together as he tries to keep the money safe.

Movie Review: Debutant directors usually go in for romances or comedies in order to play it safe, but Rajesh Kannan J has chosen a slightly complex subject for his first offering. He tries to delve into the mind of a man, who having achieved a major victory in his life, must decide if it was worth it. Shakti has got money to buy anything — even a luxury car he takes a sudden fancy to — but must hide everything from friends and family, and even the girl he loves. And with cops lurking in the background, he finds that his sudden success is taking a toll on his life, and he is forced to rethink his priorities.

It is this tough story that Rajesh Kannan sets out to tackle, and to his credit, it must be said that he has done a decent job. The songs that disrupt the narrative abruptly are a sore point though. Tighter editing would have also helped make the movie crisper. Arjun makes a confident debut, though he needs to work on the rough edges apparent in the emotional sequences. Shruti, though, does a neat job in her role as Shakti’s girlfriend.

Cinematographer C J Rajkumar impresses with some unusual camera angles. Music directors Vikram Sarathy and Luigi come up with two good romantic numbers in Hey Snehidhiye... (sung by Nikhil Mathew) and My Sarah... (Luigi and Smruthi) respectively.
