Baby & Baby Movie Synopsis: Two couples accidentally swap their infants at an airport. With one family desperate for a grandson and the other for a granddaughter, the mix-up turns into a series of convoluted attempts to exchange the babies back while keeping their traditional fathers in the dark.

Baby & Baby Movie Review: Not since the invention of the laugh track has humour felt more forced than in Baby & Baby. Director Pradhap's comedy of errors begins with an implausible baby swap at an airport and meanders through a series of increasingly strained situations.

The plot revolves around two couples — Shiva (Jai) and Guna (Yogi Babu) — who find their babies exchanged during a chaotic airport scene. Each father faces a predicament: Shiva's father (Sathyaraj) demands a grandson to inherit his legacy, while Guna's father insists on a granddaughter to satisfy astrological predictions. What follows are missed opportunities and complications that stretch the premise thin.

The film takes considerable liberties with logic, which would be forgivable if the humour landed more often. Characters make choices that seem designed to extend rather than resolve the situation, while parallel storylines about property disputes and kidnapping schemes feel tacked on. The script follows a predictable pattern — two domineering fathers, two kidnapping attempts, two similar solutions. It feels a bit copy-paste.

The humour draws from familiar territory, relying on loud exchanges and well-worn gags. Jai has some good screen presence, but he's reduced to a bumbling blank face after the initial hype. Yogi Babu, perhaps, gets saved as he isn't strictly for comedic purpose. A talented ensemble cast including veterans like Sathyaraj and Anandaraj do what they can with roles that swing between stern authority and broad comedy.

D Imman's score is serviceable. In attempting to blend family drama with comedy, Baby & Baby delivers neither, resulting in a film that feels less like a modern family entertainer and more like a relic from a bygone era.
