Synopsis: Five youngsters are at the threshold of their lives after they finish schooling. But will they be able to fulfill their dreams?

Movie Review: Like most other debutant directors, ARS tries to conjure love in the hills of Nilgiris. Anil (Anil Bharath) is the star in the group of five, waiting for results after the Class 12 exams. They loiter about town, helping a few, having fun and planning their future. But the movie meanders as the director loses track of the idea he set out with.

Apart from direction, ARS is in charge of the script and dialogue too. The script alternates between the camaraderie the boys share and their efforts at wooing girls. While all this is on, an innocent love (their eyes meet and smiles are exchanged) plays out between Vennila (Ashrith Bhanu) and Anil. Unfortunately, this doesn’t provide enough charm to keep the audience interested.

The dialogues provide information about events but the lack of activity makes Anil a sober affair. Like most actors making their debut, the boys look uncomfortable in front of the camera. Bharath appears stone-faced most of the time, even while Bhanu does her best trying to act coy and cute. The fun in ‘Anil’, in fact, is created by his entertaining friends.

Considering that it a debut for the entire team, they should have worked harder as there was scope in the script for an entertaining drama. But, at the end of it, poor direction and scripting reduce the movie into a tame affair.
