What makes Pataakha the perfect film for siblings

Siblings can have mercurial relationships- at times they can be best friends and on occasions, they can be sworn enemies! Director Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha is based on this sentiment, where two sisters, Badki and Chhutki, played by Radhika Madan and Sanya Malhotra, fight with each other on the most inconsequential things. Their enmity results in such physical brawls that the sisters become infamous in their village, for their tempers and fights.
Vishal Bhardwaj feels that this comedy drama is the perfect film for siblings. He says, “It's a story that every sister or brother can identify with. I would like all siblings to watch the film, so they can go back to their childhood and relive those moments.” Speaking about the film, producer Ajay Kapoor says, “Pataakha is a commentary on a very important subject, but it is presented in a light, fun and entertaining manner.”
The relationship between the two sisters forms the crux of the film. Their interpersonal conflict is a metaphor around warring countries like India and Pakistan. Those from the industry, who have already watched Pataakha, feel that the film creates an instant recall of the bittersweet memories they have shared with their siblings. The film allows its viewers to remember the big fights they had with their brothers and sisters, during their growing-up years.
