Sonu Nigam releases new Bengali indie track

A new Bengali love song, Keno Ei Mone, has been released to celebrate the arrival of spring, featuring the soulful voice of Sonu Nigam. The song was composed by vocalist-composer Debojit Dutta, with lyrics penned by Rajiv Dutta.
The collaboration between Sonu Nigam and Debojit Dutta marks a significant moment, as the composer had long desired to bring Nigam into the world of original Bengali music. Keno Ei Mone is Nigam’s debut independent Bengali song.
Debojit Dutta, who rose to prominence by reaching the top five in a national music reality show in 2009, has worked with numerous renowned artists, including Nachiketa Chakraborty, Harshit Saxena, and Padma Shri Suresh Wadekar. Some of his popular works include Kuke Koelia (Life Partner), Banvasi Mon (Unish Kurir Golpo), and Bismillah (Ringtone).
Speaking about the release, Debojit Dutta shared, "Sonuji liked the song as soon as he heard it. One day, he called me and lyricist Rajiv Dutta to Mumbai. It was decided that Sonuji would release the song on his own music label, and that’s exactly what happened."
The music track has been arranged by Shubham-Sourav and is available under Sonu Nigam's own music label.
