Ritwick Chakraborty-Solanki Roy to star in Mainak Bhaumik’s upcoming film

Actors Ritwick Chakraborty and Solanki Roy are soon going to be seen together for the first time in a film titled Bhaggyo Lokkhi. Directed by Mainak Bhaumik of Ami Aar Amar Girlfriends and Maach Mishti & More fame, the film revolves around the lives of a married couple in their mid-30’s, Satya and Kaberi Ganguly who are trapped in a boring and stressful mid-life crisis full of financial worries, after they send their son to the capital for higher studies with Satya’s brother. It is when Satya’s mysterious acquaintance Sayan invites himself over at their place for a night, and dies of a drug overdose there, leaving behind a suitcase full of money, that their lives take a sudden twist. The couple soon find themselves entangled in a dangerous web of drug trafficking as they delve into the secrets hidden behind the sum they found in the suitcase.
Talking about the film, Mainak says, “I wanted to make a film about an ordinary, middle-class couple who are thrown into a world of crime and fantasy to see where it goes. To me, Bhaggyo Lokkhi is a mix of real-life drama that collides with a fantasy world.”
The film also features Neel Mukherjee, Swastika Datta, Debopriyo Mukherjee, Judhajit Sarkar, Ratan Sarkhel and Loknath De in pivotal roles.
