Middle-class humour ruled the scene on Saturday, at Epicentre, Gurgaon, as comedians Vikramjit and Amit Tandon performed their stand-up comedy act for Gurgaonwallahs. Vikramjit took over the first half of the show. It was followed by Amit Tandon’s act. Tandon’s mainly took digs at marriages. He also joked about the aspirations of the middle-class man, targeting his fascination with the NRIs.
Talking about the concept of their act, Tandon said, “Most of our audience is from the middle class. So our comedy becomes relatable and makes people nostalgic. When they go back and see the same things, they smile. So the comedy lives longer.”
The duo also complimented the audience for the night. “Gurgaon is more cosmopolitan than Delhi. The audience is great. They know they are coming for the comedy. They don’t order food and drinks in the middle of the show.”
