Yograj is all smiles

The success of Manasaare is there for all to see, says its director Yograj Bhat
Yograj is all smiles
Yograj Bhat has reason to smile.
Hes just back from a promotional tour of Manasaare across Karnataka with his team and is thrilled with the response to his film. Diganth, Aindrita, myself and the rest of the team went to various places, including Davanagere, Hubli, Dharwad, Chikmagalur, Gadag and Mysore. The response has been incredible. Yella town galigu hodvi and people cheered for us.

Take our daily collection report in any theatre and youll know what Im talking about, beams Yograj.
This amazing feedback, says the director, will be an eye-opener to the people who panned the film. Some sections in the industry have been talking ill of my film. They did the same even when Mungaru Male released. But the public never lets me down and the box-office collection has proved it. So, these so-called experts can now zip their mouths, he says.
Diganths performance in the film has been compared to Ganeshs in Yograjs previous films. Yograj says, Ganesh is a great performer. Diganth is very good, too. Both have their own strengths. The comparison was inevitable because theyve both worked with the same director, says Yograj.
He adds that he loves working with freshers. Im sure the people whore bemused by my decision to work with newcomers have gone and watched the film 4-5 times. And theyre probably imagining their favourite artistes in these roles and missing their presence, he explains.
And did he, as speculation suggests, miss working with Ganesh in this movie? Theres a different joy in writing a story and preparing for a film with him. But since he wasnt an option for this film, I didnt miss him. But Manasaares success makes me relive the heydays of Mungaru Male and I think of him. I want to watch Manasaare with Ganesh and want to know his reaction. I adore him,
smiles Yograj.
The director wants to launch his banner in December. There are also some other film-makers who want to make a big-budget film with me. I might do their film; else, Ill take a loan and set up my production house and make a film with Diganth. Itll be finalised in a week, he says.
Yograj will also work with the Power Star in a film, which is expected to go on the floors in June 2010. No, its not Lagori. Its a musical film. Adu sikkapatte kansu itkondu madiro script, signs off YB.
