Director Rajesh Touchriver believes his film on sex trafficking could make the cut
A story on sex trafficking is bound to grab eyeballs, but will it make it to the international circuit? Hyderabad-based director Rajesh Touchriver, who's working on the post production of his film Ente, has his eyes on the Cannes.
“Many movies just touch on the issue. But I have done extensive research on the subject.

The story is inspired by real life incidents. This could happen to anyone, to any class, any family."
While Ente is the Malayalam film, it is being shot in Telugu as Prathyayam. “It is easier for me to work on a Telugu film because I have been living in Hyderabad since 1995. This will mark my debut in Malayalam too.”
It was the recent sex scandals in Kerala that prompted him to make the movie in Malayalam as well. “There were similar incidents happening here and I felt this was the right time to make it here,” he says.
Actor Siddique plays the lead role in both the versions — that of a protective father. “This is a welcome change as I have only played negative characters so far,” says Siddique, adding, “Rajesh is a very spontaneous director. It’s all about capturing the moment and that's challenging.”
