Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra recalls his childhood daysGone are the days While we were children, my brother, Soumyakanta, and I used to wait for Sundays so that we could watch
“Shaktimaan”. Today, it brings a smile to my face when I think about those days when the two of us would wake up in the morning with the anticipation of finding out what our favourite super hero would do on that Sunday.
Food always was an important part of enjoying a Sunday. Apart from some really yummy non-veg dishes, my mother used to make some Sunday specials like fruit salad with ice-creams or chaats for us. We also visited our grandparents in Bhanjanagar. I have no qualms in admitting that we would be spoilt rotten by our grandparents. Sundays also meant going to Cuttack to pay a visit to our uncle.
Present tense Now, Sundays are the busiest days of my life. Whenever we have to shoot in some public places like a school, college or a shopping arcade, Sundays are the only days when they are officially available. Moreover, all the events in which I have to perform happen on Sundays. For those who watch us perform, it’s a nice occasion to let their hair down. But little do many realise that providing entertainment to them means sacrificing out family time. Sunday is complete working day for me.
Wish I could I’m a technology freak. So, my perfect Sunday will be when I’ll have a lot of time to do things like designing websites and creating new programs or learning about new technological developments.
